The International Department of the Danish Federation of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises was established in 1971 to provide professional and affordable consultancy services to Danish enterprises wishing to establish or expand international activities.
Today, based on over 30 years of experience, we have learned that Danish SMEs have the necessary expertise, skills and technology to operate in markets around the world. Danish SMEs have proven their ability to take part in the global economy. In order to assist this ongoing process, the International Department has specialized in activities that support and develop the international business activities of Danish SMEs. |

The International Department has a professional staff of experienced consultants each with hands-on experience both in Denmark and abroad. Thus, having a wide, practical knowledge of the conditions on the domestic as well as on the global markets, we are able to provide companies with relevant advice in matters of internationalisation and globalisation. |

Secretariat for Danish Trade Organisations |

Our secretariat services encompass activities such as export promotion, services to the board, membership campaigns, information activities, development of courses in internationalisation, IT and/or sales and participation in trade fairs. A number of our member organisations have decided to let the International Department host their secretariats and organise their member activities. |

Historically, a unique feature of the Danish business system has been its highly developed network of trade organisations and support services. Based on our extensive knowledge of the Danish networks and the needs of SMEs, we offer assistance in the development of new SME organisations and services – in Denmark as well as abroad. |
